What is the source of the sounds you hear as you walk down the dark hallway of your apparently safe house? It isn't a myth, t's real. And one boy's life is chnged when he coem face to face with pure evil and is transformed. Transformed into a monster, or rather a half-monster. He is a half-vampire and he must hunt down and kill the creature who has made him who he is today, Dracula. Don't feel safe in the dark, but don't give up hope.<br><br>Excerpt:<br> <b>The rain pounded down onto the road causing huge splashed of water to fly up. Jeffrey Stiles rested his head back on his car’s head rest and blinked to stay awake. He hummed along to “Houndog” by Elvis Presley and turned his wind shield wipers up to full power to wipe away the never-ending downpour. </b><br><b> His clock read 11:59 PM, and he gripped the steering wheel tightly. </b><br><b> He knew what the day was going to be in a minute. He knew what he had done. He knew it was his fault. </b><br><b> That’s why he was running away, right? To divert the threat from his family? But why did he have an increasing feeling of guilt in his gut. A huge lump of pure guilt that made him want to vomit. </b><br><b> How could he have done this? Why did he do it? He should have known, you never make deals with the Devil.</b><br><b> As he thought this to himself, his radio cut out. He didn’t notice it until he heard a slow beating from outside the car. It grew louder and louder and finally it sounded like whatever it was, it passed right over his car. </b><br><b> His breath quickened and he concentrated on the road. </b><br><b> Then he hit something.</b><br><b> He didn’t know what, but it sent him flying upside down and smashing into a tree. </b><br><b> He heard the crunch of the trunk and his bones as the car and tree collided. He sat there, upside down, as his head cleared. He heard footsteps outside the car and then heard silence.</b><br><b> Suddenly, the door was ripped from the car and thrown across the street. An arm reached in and grabbed Jeff, pulling him quickly out of the car and throwing him onto the wet ground.</b><br><b> Jeff knew who it was, and knew what his fate was.</b><br><b> “Greetings, Jeffrey.” Voice said and a man appeared before him. He wore a long black cloak that concealed his body, and he had scars running all across his face and his hair was black and hung loosely onto his forehead.</b><br><b> “It’s been a long time since we last spoke.”</b><br><b> “Please…” Jeff said,” I can repay you! I just need more time!”</b><br><b> “You had forty years Jeff, forty years, and you haven’t gotten anything?” the man said and reached into his cloak,” you know my boss doesn’t like to wait very long when promised something, and you know he isn’t a very forgiving man.
